Three Minutes

Remember the Doris Day post? Well, I did it! I decorated the table for dinner with a beautiful red table cloth. Then, I put my new, red & gold, glass candle holder in the center with a wonderfully scented candle inside. Everything was perfect. And it lasted an entire 3 minutes. Luke ran by, grabbed the table cloth, yanked without stopping his race, and now the beautiful candle holder is in the trash. Well, I'll always remember those three minutes.

It is not so much the clean house, or the pretty candle lit dinner, that I appreciate in Crystal. It is the effort, the desire to give a gift, perhaps that speaks more to my love language than others. I appreciate your view, the way you chose to look at this as memorable rather than ruined.

Even as I was reading this post, I thought, "How in the world is that going to stay with three kids?" It is nice to attempt something so beautiful, and it's better not to be upset the many times it doesn't last long.
Oh, I am liking your blog. I don't get to it but every few days, but it's fun to read a few posts at once!
